For 3D printers, the printing effect of the first layer is crucial. If the first layer is not laid properly, the possibility of printing failure of the entire model will increase. Here we will collect some failed cases that occurred when printing the first layer of A1 mini and provide some solutions. We will continue to collect relevant content and update it.

Please note that the contents on this page only apply to A1 mini printers.

1. Poor first-layer printing due to the heatbed leveling being too low

The screws that secure the hotend heater assembly to the synthetic stone became loose, causing the poor printing of the first layer when printing a large size area, and this may be accompanied by a bed leveling failure.

The phenomenon is shown in the figure below:

Confirm that the hot end is at a low temperature (below 50 degrees Celsius) through the screen, turn off the printer, remove the front cover, and then remove the hotend according to the instructions on the guide sticker.

Remove the 3 screws that secure the heater assembly with an H2.0 hex key, and turn the heater assembly over to expose the 4 small screws on the back. Retighten the screws with an H1.5 hex key. Please note that the screws are relatively small, just make sure they are locked in place to avoid the screws slipping due to excessive force.

Then reinstall the heater assembly and the hotend,  and restart the printer for printing. Please be sure to click the Bed Leveling for the first printing.
