Binding printer failed in non lan only mode

Information in the window when binding fails

  • Error code
    – This is a four-digit error code that corresponds to different errors and needs to be referenced with an error mapping table for interpretation.
     
  • Error desc
    – Regarding this error, the description will include specific details about the error, such as binding timeout or network error.
     
  • Extra info
    – It will include some specific error codes, such as “IOT_ERROR_NO_VALID_DEVICE,”  which indicates that the device has not been activated.



Binding failure caused by network reasons

If the Error Description or Extra Information indicates connection failures, inability to connect, or similar errors related to connectivity, it is highly likely due to network issues.

  • First, check if your network is working properly and if you can connect to the internet normally.
  • If there are no issues with the network you are using, please check if the printer’s network is functioning properly. You can use the cmd tool to ping your printer IP address.
    (The IP of the printer can be obtained on the printer’s screen.)

  • If the latency is very high or you cannot ping the printer’s IP address, please check your network.

Binding printer failed in lan only mode

  • The difference between lan only mode and non lan mode is that it does not access our cloud services.
  • If LAN only mode login to the printer fails, please check if your printer and studio are on the same LAN.
